Run Coaching

So you wanna run your first trail half-marathon? Tackle some big hikes? Plan a big adventure, like Rim-to-Rim?

We can help you with that! Back of the Pack offers custom run coaching. Our goal? To help you do hard things — at your own pace.

We want you to know wholeheartedly that you don’t have to be the fastest or have the best gear or know it all to dream big and go after your goals. Even the toughest races in the world have a last place finisher. It doesn’t make the accomplishment any less rad. Even at the back of the pack, you deserve to feel like an athlete, to feel like you’re a part of something, and to feel like you’re capable.

Have you tried templated training programs before?

Maybe they didn’t work because you have a wonky schedule (hi, healthcare friends!) or because you wanted a little extra accountability.

1:1 run coaching provides customized endurance programming with adjustments made to your life and your schedule, plus check-ins multiple times per week to keep you on track and cheer you on. We fit the plan into your life, instead of trying to fit your life into a plan.

Do you want someone in your corner cheering you on?

Do you feel like “I really want to do this but I’m just not sure that I can?

1:1 coaching gets you a personal cheerleader. We’re there every step of the way — holding you accountable to your training, giving you grace when life gets life-y, answering your questions about nutrition and gear, and sending you pre-race pump up messages.

Brooke is training for a 30K on her 30th birthday:

“So good. I just can't believe how I'm actually doing this. It's been so long since I've "pushed" myself, usually I just kinda stop when I want to. But to have a set time to strive for is awesome and then it just gets easier as I keep going. So cool!”

Dani ran her first trail half-marathon in 2023:

“One of my 2024 goals is the 50k, but I’m following Laura’s training plan on this. (If your goal is run based, highly recommend Laura’s coaching!!!) and it’s broken out and the thinking work is done for me.”
